「All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.」
邪惡得勝的關鍵就在於… 好人們什麼也不做。
— 據說是英國哲學家 Edmund Burke 說的話。
而愛因斯坦似乎也說過類似的話：
「The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.」
這個世界之所以危險，不是因為那些行事邪惡的傢伙，而是那些只是看著卻什麼也不做的群眾。
柏拉圖(Plato)也說：
「The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.」
好人對於公眾事務冷漠的代價就是，被邪惡的人奴役。
而Edmund Burke又說：
「When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.」
當邪惡匯聚，良善的人們就必須團結起來，否則一個一個都將成為卑劣鬥爭下無謂的犧牲品。
